Answer:

Let another officer take x hrs to complete the work.

Then in 1 hr he will do 1/x work

In 1 hr another officer does 1/20 work

In 1 hr both will do (1/x)+(1/20)=(20+x)/(20x) work

In 5 hr both will do 5(20+x)/(20x)=1 (full) work

(20+x)/4x=1

20+x=4x

3x=20

x=20/3 hrs

Answer:

=>50Hours

5 people complete a work in 20hours

So 1 person can complete a work in 5×20=100hours

2 people can finish the same work in 100×1/2

=>50Hrs
