Force of inertia = ma
let the masses be 1x and 5x
Force of inertia for 1st body= 1x * a
Force of inertia for 2nd = 5x * a
ratio= x * a / 5x * a
= 1:5

Answer:

Ratio of inertia of the two objects 1 : 5.

Explanation:

Inertia is a property that resist the changes in velocity.

Two masses are in the ratio 1:5.

Let the mass of the first object is  1x.

the mass of the second object is  5x.

Inertia = mass * accelaration = m*a

Inertia of the first object = 1x * a

Inertia of the 2nd object = 5x * a

Ratio of inertia of the two objects = 1x * 1 : 5x * a = 1 : 5
