After collision of two blocks they stick with each other

So here the collision between them is perfectly inelastic collision

Now we can use momentum conservation here

when net external force on a system is zero then momentum of the system will always remains conserved

m_1v_{1i} + m_2v_{2i} = m_1v_{1f} + m_2v_{2f}

0.25*3 + 0.25*(-1) = (0.25 + 0.25)v

0.5 = 0.5*v

v = 1 m/s

so after they with each other they will move together with speed 1 m/s

m_1v_{1i} + m_2v_{2i} = m_1v_{1f} + m_2v_{2f}m

v

v

1f

v

2f

0.25*3 + 0.25*(-1) = (0.25 + 0.25)v0.25∗3+0.25∗(−1)=(0.25+0.25)v

0.5 = 0.5*v0.5=0.5∗v

v = 1 m/sv=1m/s

so after they with each other they will move together with speed 1 m/s
