Two members are in the ratio 7 :3 and their sum is 110. what is the bigger number ?

LET 1ST MEMBER = 7X

2ND MEMBER = 3X

ALSO,

7X+3X=110 ( GIVEN )

10X=110

X=110/10

X=11

NOW, PUT THE VALUE OF X IN BOTH TERMS.

HENCE, 1ST MEMBER = 7X = 7 × 11 = 77.

2ND MEMBER = 3X = 3 ×11 = 33.

THEREFORE, 77 IS THE BIGGEST NUMBER 1ST MEMBER.
