Two men a and b started a job in which a was thrice as good as b and therefore took 60 days less than b to finish the job how many days will they take to finish the job if they start working together

let A be x

than,B will be 3x

as we know a was thrice as good as b and took 60 days less than b

therefore,

3x-x=60

x=30 days

than A took 30days

and B took 3x...3*30=90days

so together they will take

1/A+1/B

1/30+1/90

take L.C.M of 30 and 90

then it will come 4/90

so the answer is 22.5 days they both took together
