Answer:

Solution

Distance from P to Q ls 21 km.

Let A and B meet t hours after the start.

Distance travelled by A in t hours. = 31 km

Distance travelled by B in t hours

= 4tkm. Total distance travelled by both 4t + 3t = 71 km

When A and B meet, both would have travelled double the distance of PQ,

I.e., 21 x 2 = 42 km

71 = 42. 7t = 42 i / t = 6

.. they will meet at R. 18 km from P.

They will meet six hours from the start.

In 6 hours A will have travelled 6 * 3 = 18km
