dinu spent 22 and chandu spent 18.

they had 4 and 20 left afterwards.

sweetgirl43rpe5rod: equations?
muskanmehra2852002: dinu spent x and chandu spent x-4
muskanmehra2852002: so 38-(x-4)=5(26-x)
muskanmehra2852002: 42-x=130-5x
muskanmehra2852002: 4x=88
muskanmehra2852002: x=22
sweetgirl43rpe5rod: thank u

let x be the money spent by CHANDU

then x+4 be the money spent by DINU

At the end chandu has five times as much as Dinu money

DINU = 26-(x+4)

CHANDU = 38 - x

chandhu = 5(dinu)

38 - x = 5 [ 26 - (x +4) ]

38 - x = 5(22 -x )

38 - x = 110- 5x

4x = 110 - 38 = 72

x = 72/4 = 18

Chandu spent x = 18 /-

DINU spent x + 4 = 22/-

Hope you understand
