Two men on either side of a pole observe its top at the angles of elevation 45° and 60° respectively and the distance betw
een two men is 48 meters , find the height of the pole?

"In this question we will get three equations, two from the two angles and one for the sum of distance.

Let the distance to the pole from first person be x and second person be y.

x + y = 48           tan 60 = h/x      tan 45 = h/y

Solving the three equations, we get,

h = 30.43 m
