two metal spheres of mass 100 gram and 200 gram are allowed to fall down simultaniously from the same height .which one reach the ground first ? justify your answer​

The acceleration produced by the gravitational force is same for the both the bodies.So the both bodies will travel the same distance in the same time interval

we know that by Newtons equation of gravitational force F=G Mm/ R² where

G= universal gravitational force constant

M=mass of the earth

m= mass of the object

R= radius of the earth

This equation give the force between earth and the object anywhere it may be of any size .

And a=F/m , a= GMm/R²m

Which simplified a=GM/R²

Hence accelation of the object doesn't depend on it mass .

Hence if two masses of 50 kg and 500kg are dropped from the same height they will have same acceleration hence they will reach the ground in same time .

The thing here to note is that the Force F is not the same on two bodies but the acceleration is same .
