Given : m1 =3. kg m2 =2 kg urel =15 m/s

vrel =5 m/s

So, e=urel/ vrel=15/5=3/1

Loss in kinetic energy ΔK.E=

2/1 (m1+m2/m1m2) (1−e2 )(urel )

Or ΔK.E= 2/1 (3+2/3×2 )(1−1/3²)(15)²=120 J
