• In earlier days we use to have news only in a particular time in a day. Important highlights  happened during the day were used to be telecasted within the half an hour of news time.
• Now a days we have many news channels round the clock. These channels are making very silly things also news and highlighting small small issues.
• It has become a target for the news channel staff to bring a breaking news. Because of this the main issues were neglected and the discussions in the news channels have become an entertainment to the public.
• Earlier there used to be less news but now more channels and less news and unnecessarily highlighting all the news. These channels target Politicians, film stars and sports stars.
• They also involve into their personal lives and create entertainment for their channels to increase their TRP ratings.

there is an old quote that quality is better than the quantity this is something which Indian news channel of the current era need to understand as the media sector seeing cut throat competition the news channel nowadays resort to anything and every thing they could possibly to capture the high trp
