Two mutually perpendicular lines are drawn on a
table. Two small magnets, whose magnetic moments
are 0.108 and 0.192 JT!, are placed on these lines. If
the distance of the point of intersection of these lines
be respectively 30 and 40 cm from these magnets,
then find the resultant magnetic field at the point of
intersection.

Total magnetic field at O = 1 * 10^-6 T

Explanation:

1 shoes B1 at axial point

2 shoes B2 at equitorial point

B1 = μo.2m/ 4πr³

     = (4π * 10^-7 * 2 * 0.192) / (4π * 40³ * 10^-6)

     = 6 * 10^-7 T

B2 = μo.m/ 4πr³

      = (4π * 10^-7 * 0.108) / (4π * 30³ * 10^-6)

      = 4 * 10^-7 T

Total magnetic field at O:

Bnet = B1 + B2

         = (6 + 4) * 10^-7

         = 10 * 10^-7

          = 1 * 10^-6 T
