Two natural numbers which do not have a common factor other than 1 are called Relatively Prime or Mutually Prime or Co Prime.

First of all let us have a look at the definition of Prime Numbers.

Prime Number is a number that is divisible only by either itself or 1.

Common Examples of prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17,......

When we call two numbers as Relatively prime, they do not have any number in common that can divide both the numbers but only 1 to divide both of them.

For example: 3 and 5 are relatively Prime Numbers.

NOTE: These relatively prime numbers need not to be necessarily Prime Number.

Some other examples of relatively prime numbers are 4 and 9.

Factors of 4 = 2 \times 2 \times 1

Factors of 9 = 3 \times 3 \times 1

Only common factor of 4 and 9 is 1 so 4 and 9 are relatively prime but not prime themselves.

So, Two natural numbers which do not have a common factor other than 1 are called Relatively Prime or Mutually Prime or Co Prime.
