Let their common ratio is x

then numbers will be 2x and 3x

when 9 is added to each they become (2x+9)and (3x+9)

so their ratio

(2x+9)/(3x+9)=3/4

8x+36=9x++27

x=36–27

x=9 so the original numbers will be

2x=2*9=18 and 3x=3*9=27

so their product will be

18*27=486

Answer:

Number before adding 9 = 18 and 27

And number after adding 9 = 27 and 36

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

The ratio = 2:3

After added 9 ratio = 3:4

To find :

The numbers

Taken :

Let the numbers be x

So , the equation will form like this -:

\boxed{\sf{\dfrac{2x+9}{3x+9}=\dfrac{3}{4}}}

After finding the value of x multiply with the ratio .

Solution :

Value of x -:

:\implies\rm{\dfrac{2x+9}{3x+9}=\dfrac{3}{4}}

:\implies\rm{3(3x+9)=4(2x+9)}

:\implies\rm{9x+27=8x+36}

:\implies\rm{9x-8x=36-27}

:\implies\rm{x=9}

So , the value of x is 9 .

Numbers before adding 9 -:

:\implies\rm{2\times9=18}

:\implies\rm{3\times9=27}

Numbers after adding 9 -:

:\implies\rm{18+9=27}

:\implies\rm{27+9=36}

So , the number before adding 9 is 18 and 27 . And the numbers after adding 9 is 27 and 36 .
