Given :

Let one number be = 5x

Other number be = 3x

Differ of the numbers = 18

Equation :

5x - 3x = 18

2x = 18

 \sf \: x =  \frac{ \cancel{18}}{ \cancel2}  = 9

Therefore ,

The numbers are 5x = 5 × 9 = 45

The numbers are 3x = 3 × 9 = 27
