(i) Since the compound is formed by the sharing of electron, the compound has covalent bonding. It could have a single, double or triple bonding.  

(ii) Generally covalent compound are not soluble in water. E.g. plastic. Plastic are water resistant. However there are few exception to these cases like sugar or ethanol. Covalent compound dissolve in organic solvent because they are both non-polar in nature.
