Answer

  • Numbers are 4 and 6

Given

  • Ratio of numbers = 2 : 3 = 2/3

To Calculate

  • Actual Numbers

Solution

The number is 2/3

According to question,

 \bf \implies  \frac{2x + 2}{3x + 2}  =  \frac{3}{4}

By cross multiplication,

 \bf \implies 4(2x + 2) = 3(3x + 2)

 \bf \implies 8x + 8 = 9x + 6

 \bf \implies 8x  - 9x = 6 - 8

 \bf \implies  - x =  - 2

 \bf \implies x = 2

So, numbers are

  • 2x = 2 × 2 = 4
  • 3x = 3 × 2 = 6

Therefore, Numbers are 4 and 6.
