Answer: The larger number is 52.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Two numbers are in ratio 13 : 11

Difference of the number is 8

To Find : The larger of two numbers

Solution :

Let the common ratio be x.

The two numbers are 13x and 11x.

⇒ 13x - 11x = 8

⇒ 2x = 8

∴ x = 4

∴ The numbers are 13*4 = 52,  11 * 4 = 44.
