ok

Step-by-step explanation:

let no. be x

ratio =3/4

3x+7/4x+8=4/5

5(3x+7)=4(4x+8)

15x+35=16x+32

35-32=16x-15x

3=x

no. = 3x3=9

Given :-

  • Ratio of two number → 3:4.
  • 8 is added to each number they became in the ratio 4:5.

To Find :

  • The original numbers.

Solution :

Let us we consider the numbers be " 3x " and " 4x " respectively.

Then,

According to the given conditions it is said that after adding 8 on both numbers they gave the ratio of 4 is to 5.

Forming equation :-

➹ (3x + 8) : (4x + 8) = 4 : 5

➹ 3x + 8/4x + 8 = 4/5

➹ 5 (3x + 8) = 4 ( 4x + 8)

➹ 15x + 40 = 16x + 32

➹ 15x - 16x = 32 - 40

➹ - x = - 8

x = 8

Now, Simply substituting the value of ' x '

  • First Number = 3x

= 3 × 8

= 24

  • Second Number = 4x

= 4 × 8

= 32

Therefore,.

The original numbers are 24 and 32 respectively.
