Solution

Given :-

  • Two number are in the ratio 3:5.

  • The sum of the numbers is 144.

To Find :-

  • The larger number.

Step-by-Step-Explaination :-

Let,

  • The ratios be 3x and 5x .

According to the condition,

3x + 5x = 144

8x = 144

x = 144/8

x = 18

Thus,

The value of x is 18 .

Therefore,

3x = 3 × 18 = 54

5x = 5 × 18 = 90

So,

The larger number is 90 .

Hence,

Option d) 90 is correct option.

.•♫•♬•Solution•♬•♫•.

Let  \: the  \: given  \: Ratio \:  be \:   \: 3x \:  and \:  5x

According to question

 =  > 3x + 5x = 144

 =  > 8x = 144

 =  > x =  \frac{144}{8}

 =  > x = 18

Numbers are

  5x = 5 \times 18 = 90

3x = 3 \times 18 = 54

Lager angle is 90

Hence the larger angle is 90 and option D is Correct
