Let X be common multiple to these numbers.

Then the numbers becomes,

3X and 18X.

According to question,


Sum of Numbers = 165


3X + 18X = 165


21X = 165


X = 165/21


X = 55/7


First Number = 3X = 3 × 55/7 = 165/7


And,


Second number = 18X = 18 × 55/7 = 990/7
