Let the constant be x,

ACCORDING TO UR QUESTION,

5x + 7x = 84

12x= 84

x = 7

Thus the numbers are 5 × 7 = 35 and 7 × 7 = 49.

Done?!!

Answer:

The numbers are 35 and 49.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the first number be X and the second number be Y

According to the first condition

X/Y = 5/7

According to the second condition

X + Y = 84

Y = 84 - X

Substitute Y = 84 - X in the equation of first condition

So you get

X / 84 - X = 5/7

7X = 420 - 5X

12X = 420

X = 35.

To find Y substitute X = 35 in the equation of second condition

So you get

35 + Y = 84

Y = 49

So the numbers are 35 and 49.

Hope this will help and mark me as brainliest if this helps.
