let first number be x

thwn second number =x-3

2(x-3)+3x=19

2x-6+3x=19

5x=19+6

x=25/5=5

and,thrice the greatest no.3*x

ATQ:

2(x-3)+3x=19

2x-6+3x=19

5x=19 +6

x= 25/5

x=5.

Hence ,the value of x =5

verification; given that two no. differ by 3

so, 1st no. is x=5

2nd no. is x-3=5-3=2
