Let the number be 4x and 7x

ATQ

 \frac{4x + 3}{7x + 3}  =  \frac{5}{8}  \\ 8(4x + 3) = 5(7x + 3) \\ 32x + 24 = 35x + 15 \\ 35x - 32x = 24 - 15 \\ 3x = 9 \\ x =  \frac{9}{3}  \\ x = 3 \\ so \: the \: number \: is \: 4 \times 3 = 12 \\ and \: 7 \times 3 = 21

Hey mate here is your answer ⤵⤵⤵

Let the numbers be 4x and 7x .

Then,If 3 is added to each number,The ratio becomes 5:8

\implies(4x+3):(7x+3)=5:8

\implies\dfrac{(4x+3)}{(7x+3)}=\dfrac{5}{8}

On,cross multiplying

\implies(4x+3)×8=(7x+3)×5

\implies32x+24=35x=15

\implies32x-35x=15-24

\implies-3x=-9

\impliesx=\cancel{\dfrac{-9}{-3}}

\impliesx=3

Hence the numbers are 4x=4×3=12

And 7x=7×3=21
