Two numbers are in ratio 4:7 if there sum is 132 than find the numbers?

Answer 1

Let the first number = 4x
    and second number = 7x 

so, 4x + 7x  =  132 
     
       11x  = 132
 
        x = 132 / 11   
   
        x = 12

So, the first number is 4x = 4 x 12

                                     = 48
  and second number  is 7x = 7 x 12
      
                                             =  84

you can see that 84 + 48 = 132 
 
so answer is right.
