Two numbers are in ratio 9:13 and their sum is 440 . find the numbers??????

Let the number be 9x,13x

and their sum=440

so, according to condition,

9x+13x=440

22x=440

x=440/22

x=20

So,the first number is=9x

=9*20=180

Second number is=13x. =>13*20. =>260

Two number are 180,260
