Two numbers are in the ratio 2:3. If 9 is added
to each number, they will be in the ratio 3:4. What
is the product of the two numbers?​

Answer :

Let their common ratio is x

Therefore numbers are

First number = 2x

Second number = 3x

(2x+9)/(3x+9)=3/4

8x+36=9x++27

x=36–27

x=9 so the original numbers will be

2x=2*9=18 and 3x=3*9=27

so their product will be

18*27=486
