Let the number be x

2 : 5 = 2x : 5x

Now,

$\mathtt{2x + 5x =490 } \\ \\ \implies\mathtt{7x = 490} \\ \\ \implies\mathtt{x = \frac{490}{7} } \\ \\ \implies\mathtt{x = 70}$

First Number :

2x = 2 × 70 = 140

Second Number :

5x = 5 × 70 = 350

As,

350 > 140

5x or 350 is the larger number
