APPROPRIATE QUESTION:-

Two numbers are in ratio 2:3 If 9 is added to each they will be in ratio 3:4 the numbers are ?

EXPLANATION:-

Let the 2 numbers be =2x and 3x

----------------------------------------------------------------------

4 is added to them

So numbers will be

2x+4 and 3x+4

Now the ratio=3:4

------------------------------------------------------------------------

A.TQ

⇒(2x+4)/(3x+4)=3/4

→4(2x+4)=3(3x+4)

→8x+16=9x+9

→8x-9x=9-16

→-x=-7

x=7

So the numbers are :-

2(x)=2(7)=14

3(x)=3(7)=21

Let the numbers be 2x and 3x

Let the new numbers in ration 3:4 be 3x and 4x.

According to the question

2x + 9 + 3x + 9 = 3x + 4x

on solving the equation we will get x as 9

Hence, the two numbers in the ratio 2:3 are 18 and 27.
