Given:- ratio of two numbers is 3:2, and the difference between them is 9.

To find:- the original numbers.

Solution :-

Let the ratio be x.

  • First number = 3x
  • Second number = 2x

Given that difference between them is 9,

  \longrightarrow\sf \: 3x - 2x = 9 \\ \longrightarrow\sf 1x = 9 \\ \longrightarrow\sf  \boxed{\boxed{ \sf \purple{ x = 9}}}

So, the value of x is 9.

Then, putting value of x, the number would be:

First number = 3x = 3(9) = 27

Second number = 2x = 2(9) = 18
