SOLUTION:

let the two numbers be x and y

so, x/y=3/4

x=3y/4

also,x+5/y+5=7/9

x+5=7(y+5)/9

(3y/4)+5=7y+35/9

9(3y+20)=4(7y+35)

27y+180=28y+140

180-140=28y-27y

40=y

therefore, x=(3into40)/4

x=30

therefore the two numbers are 30 and 40

Answer:

Let the numbers be 3x and 4x

3x+5/4x+5 = 7x/9x

28x² + 35x = 27x² + 45x

x²=10x

3x= 30 ; 4x=40

The numbers are 30 and 40

x=10
