Given :

  • two numbers are in the ratio 3:4 if 6 is added to each term of the ratio there is an increase of 20%

To Find :

  • the ratio find the first and second number.

Solution :

A/b = 3/4

a = 3b/ 4

a + 6 / b + 6 = 3/4 × 9/10

Substitute the value of a

3b / 4 + 6/ b + 6 = 3 / 4 × 9/10

3b + 24/4b + 24 = 9/10

a = 3 , b = 4

Hence the Answer is 3 and 4.
