Let 3x and 5x be the nos.
according to the problem,
3× +8 /5× +8 =2/3
3(3 X +8) = 2(5X + 8)
9X + 24 = 10 X + 16
9X - 10X = 16 -24
- X = -8
X=8.
1ST NOS= 3X = 3X8= 24
2ND NOS= 5X= 5X8=40

Answer:

The numbers are 24 and 40.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the two numbers be x and y.

Given:  \frac{x}{y}=\frac{3}{5} \Rightarrow 5 x=3 y \Rightarrow 5 x-3 y=0 \ldots \ldots(i)

Also, \frac{x+8}{y+8}=\frac{2}{3} \Rightarrow 3(x+8)=2(y+8)

\begin{array}{l}{\Rightarrow 3 x+24=2 y+16} \\ {\Rightarrow 3 x-2 y+8=0 \ldots \ldots(i i)}\end{array}

After solving the two equations (i) and (ii)

We get, x = 24 and y = 40

By using the simple concepts of algebra and ratio we have computed the value of the two variables. In the above solution, we have considered two different variables. But it can be solved by considering only one variable, too.
