$3x-9 and 5x-9$

$3x-9/5x-9 = 12/23$

$By using Cross Multiplication$

$12(5x-9)=23(3x-9)$

$60x-108=69x-207$

$60x-69x=-207+108$

$9x=99$

$x=9/99$

$x=11$

Now, according to the question :

$\frac{3x - 9}{5x - 9} = \frac{12}{23} \\ \\ = > 69x - 207 = 60x - 108 \\ \\ = > 9x = 99 \\ \\ = > x = 11$

Numbers are : 3x = 3×11 = 33 and

5x = 5×11 = 55
