Let x be the number
Given 3x and 5x --------------------- (i)
(3x+10)/(5x+10) = 5/7
On cross multiplication we get
21x + 70 = 25x + 50
On solving we get
4x = 20
x = 5
on substituting x in (i) we get 15 and 25.
