Answer :-

The second number is greater = 5x = 5 × 23 = 115.

Given :-

  • Ratio of two numbers is 3:5.

  • Their difference is 46.

Have to Find :-

  • The larger number = ?

Calculations :-

  • Consider the two number be 3x and 5x.

Then from the given , we get :-

⇒ 5x - 3x = 46

⇒ 2x = 46

⇒ x = \sf\dfrac{\cancel{46}}{\cancel{2}}

\large{\boxed{\bold{x\:=\:23}}}

Therefore ,

The two number are :-

1. Number = 3x

= 3 × 23

= 69

2. Number = 5x

= 5 × 23

= 115

Hence , the number second ( 115 ) is larger.
