when 8 is added then it would be 3x+8

and 5x+8

According to question:

3x+8/5x+8=5/7

=7(3x+8)=5(5x+8)

=21x+56=25x + 40

=21x-25x= -56+40

=-4x=-16

=x=4

Therefore the value of x is -16

so 3x=3×4=12

4x=4×4=16
