two numbers are in the ratio 4:5 if 7 is subtracted from each of them then the ratio becomes 3:4 find the number

Let the numbers be 4x &5x
4x - 7 = 3x ....a
5x - 7 = 4x ......b
By adding a and b
4x -7 + 5x - 7 = 3x + 4x
9x -14 = 7x
9x - 7x = 14
2x = 14
x=14/2 = 7
Hence the numbers Wil be 4x = 7×4 = 28 & 5x = 5×7 = 35.

Let the no be 4x&5x
New ratio= 3x&4x
4x+7/5x+7= 3x/4x
(4x+7)*4x= (5x+7)*3x
16x²+28x= 15x²+21x
16x²-15x²= 21x-28x
X²= -7x
X= √-7x
