two numbers are in the ratio 4 is to 7 if the larger number is 63 find the smaller number​

Let a ,b are two numbers ,

a < b,

a : b = 4 : 7

Sum of the ratio = 4 + 7 = 11

According to the problem ,

7 parts = 63

1 part = 63 / 7 = 9

Therefore ,

Smaller number = a = 4 parts

a = 4 × 9 = 36…
