According to contents given in question ,
5x - 3x = 18
2x = 18
★ x = 9 ★

Let the no. be m and n
Then ,
According to question,
m : n = 5: 3
OR
m = 5n/3
m - n = 18
Substituting the value of m
5n/3 - n = 18
5n -3n = 3
2n = 3
◆ n = 3/2
Therefore
m = (5×3/2)÷ 3
m = 15/2 × 1/3
◆ m = 5/2
