$\textbf{According to the question -}$

• $5x \: - \: 3x \: = \: 18$

• $2x \: = 18$

• $\frac{2x}{2} = \frac{18}{2}$

• $x = 9$

• Numbers are 5 × 9 and 3 × 9 or 45 and 27.
