according to the question
5x -3x=18
2x=18
x=18÷2
x=9
5x=45
3x=27

Let the first number = 5x

Let the second number = 3x

Difference between the two numbers = 18

so, A . T. Q ( according to question ) :-

5x - 3x = 18

2x = 18

x = 18 / 2

x = 9

therefore, 1st number = 5 (9) = 45

2nd number = 3 (9) = 27

Difference between the two numbers = 45 - 27 = 18
