\underbrace \text{Answer:}

Given,

➥ Ratio of the two number= 5:4

Now,

Let the numbers be 5x and 4x.

 \text{5x + 4x = 54}

 \implies \:  \text{9x = 54}

 \implies \:  \tt{x =  \cancel \frac{54}{9} }

 \implies \tt \bf \red{x=6}

Therefore,

The numbers are:-

5x= 5×6 = 30

4x= 4×6 = 24

Given :- Two numbers are in the ratio 5:4 and their sum is 54. Then find those numbers?*

1) (30,24)

2) (20,34)

3) (14,40)

4) (50,4)

Solution :-

Let us assume that, required two numbers are 5x and 4x respectively .

so,

→ sum of numbers = 54 (given)

→ 5x + 4x = 54

→ 9x = 54

dividing both sides by 9,

→ x = 6 .

then,

→ First Number = 5x = 5 * 6 = 30

Second Number = 4x = 4 * 6 = 24 .

therefore, Option (1) (30,24) is correct answer.
