Let the two numbers be 5x and 6x
When 15 is added it becomes 5x+15 and 6x+15
According to question
(5x+15)/(6x+15)=8/9
By cross multiplying we get
45x+135=48x+120
135-120=48x-45x
15=3x
x=5
The two numbers are 25 and 30 respectively.
Hope that helped!
