two numbers are in the ratio 5:6. if 5 added to both the numbers then the ratio of the numbers becomes 6:7 ,find the numbers.

since our ratio is 5:6,
the number will be  $\frac{5x}{11}$ & $\frac{6x}{11}$  ---(1)
When we add 5 to both sides the ratio becomes 6:7
Hence,
            $\frac{\frac{5x}{11}+5}{\frac{6x}{11}+5}$=$\frac{6}{7}$

On solving this equation we will get,
                                                           x = 55

Now substituting this value of x in equation (1)

The number comes out to be 25 and 30.
