Solution.

Let two 5x and 6x .

ATQ,
 \frac{5x - 8}{6x - 8}  =  \frac{4}{5}
=> 25x - 40= 24x - 32

=> x= 8

Now, numbers are.

Let the two numbers be "a" and "b"

Now according to the question
a/b = 5/6 That means
6a=5b
6a-5b=0......(i)

And,
(a-8)/(b-8) = 4/5 that means
5(a-8) = 4(b-8)
5a-4b = 8......(ii)

By performing (i)x5 - (ii)x6 we get
30a-25b=0......(iii) and
30a-24b=48....(iv)

Substracting (iii) from (iv) we get
b =48
Substituting the value of b in eq (i) we get
a= 40
