HEY MATE HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

GIVEN THAT TWO NUMBERS ARE IN RATIO THAT IS 5:7 . AND THEIR DIFFERENCE IS 10 .

SOLUTION ➡️➡️

SO LET X BE A CONSTANT OF THE RATIO

THEREFORE THE FIRST NUMBER WOULD BE = 5X

AND SIMILARLY

THE SECOND WOULD BE = 7X

NOW ACCORDING TO QUESTION ITS GIVEN THAT

7x - 5x = 10
SO NOW FROM THIS WE HAVE

2x = 10
THAT IS

x =  \frac{10}{2}  = 5
HENCE THE CONSTANT OF RATIO IS X = 5

SO THE

FIRST NUMBER IS = 5x → 5 X 5 = 25

AND SIMILARLY

SECOND NUMBER IS = 7x → 7 X 5 = 35

THEREFORE THE NUMBERS ARE

25 AND 35 .

BUT THERE IS ANOTHER ANSWER FOR THIS QUESTION AS IN THIS FIRST SOLUTION WE SUBTRACTED

SMALLER NUMBER FROM GREATER NUMBER . SO IT CAN BE ALSO OTHER WAY THAT IS IT CAN BE

SUBTRACTED GREATER FROM SMALLER .


THEREFORE THE SECOND SOLUTION CAN BE ➡️

SIMILARLY WE ARE TAKING X AS CONSTANT OF RATIO .



SO WE HAVE

FIRST NUMBER = 5X

AND

SECOND NUMBER = 7X

NOW ACCORDING TO QUESTION WE HAVE

5x - 7x = 10
THAT IS

 - 2x = 10
SO WE HAVE

x =  \frac{10}{ - 2}  =  - 5
HENCE HERE THE CONSTANT OF RATIO IS = -5

SECOND NUMBER IS = 7X → 7 × -5 = -35

-25 & -35 ( BUT THIS DOESN'T MAKE MUCH CHANGE IN ANSWER, AS IN RATIO IF BOTH NUMERATOR AND

DENOMINATOR CONTAINS NEGATIVE NUMBERS THEN THIS NEGATIVE GETS CANCELLED AND IT

BECOMES A POSITIVE NUMBER.)
