Two numbers are in the ratio 6 : 11 and their difference is 25. Find the sum of the two numbers.

Answer:

let the ratio be 6x : 11x

11x- 6x = 25

5x = 25 so x=5

numbers = 6× 5 = 30

11× 5= 55

sum = 30+55 =85
