Given that,

Difference of the two numbers = 12

Making an equation,

7x - 5x = 12

2x = 12

x = 12/2

x = 6

Finding the numbers,

7x = 7 × 6 = 42

5x = 5 × 6 = 30

Therefore, the two numbers are 42 and 30.
