Let the numbers be '2x' and '5x'

Given that

(2x-7)/(5x-7) = 1/6

Cross multiply

12x - 42 = 5x - 7

12x - 42 - 5x + 7 = 0

7x - 35 = 0

7x = 35

x = 35/7

x= 5

So, the numbers are

2x = 2*5 = 10

5x=5*5=25

B.G.C
2x - 7 / 5x - 7 = 1 / 6
6 ( 2x - 7 ) = 1 ( 5x - 7 )
= 12x - 42 = 5x - 7
12x - 5x = -7 + 42
= 7x = 35
x = 35 /7 = 5
The 2 numbers are 10 , and 25.
Hope this helps you.
